Jeffery Kong

Jeffery Kong is a seasoned Head of Design with international experience in all levels of the global fashion marketplace.  This leading role has afforded him insight into the working environments of the fashion industry.  This includes and is not limited to areas of design, merchandising, styling, production (US domestic, overseas – Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia, China, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Colombia, Brazil, to name a few), sales, PR and marketing, media and social media, galleries and museums, trade shows, fabric mills, embroidery and artisanal craftsmanship factories, accessories manufacturing, etc.  His major focus is the conceptualizing and actualizing of product, communication, collaboration, strategizing, spearheading and leading various aspects of the business with a focus in design, business, sustainability, etc. with groups of teams from the Executive Board down to focus groups of end-consumers.

Jeffery has held pivotal executive roles at Kohl’s Department Stores, Elie Tahari Ltd., Escada Gmbh, Emanuel/Emanuel Ungaro, Gilmar SpA.  Notably, his contributions have led to significant sales growth, strategic brand repositioning, and the successful development of internationally acclaimed luxury goods brands.  Jeffery graduated from the Royal College of Art in London with a Master of Design.  He is a board member of the Fashion History Museum and a member of the Toronto Metropolitan University Fashion Program Advisory Council.  Jeffery is dedicated to nurturing and developing emerging talents, sustainability practices throughout the design process, inclusivity and diversity, new technologies, artisanal craftmanship, effective communication, strategic and critical thinking management, and core principles of decolonization of the Arts.
